Your goal

As our temporary Head of HR Operations & Systems, you will lead the transformation of our HR operations. Your mission is to build a future-proof HR infrastructure by mapping and standardizing HR-processes, leveraging technology, and ensuring data integrity. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing employee and manager self-service capabilities to support our international expansion. 

Bringing broad experience, you will lead the HR Operations team in this transformation and at the same time ensure they can independently run this after you leave. You will educate your successor from within the team as well.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the HR Ops team;
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement;
  • Set clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics;
  • Standardize and document all HR processes;
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline global processes;
  • Optimize and integrate key HR systems (e.g., Personio, AFAS);
  • Enhance self-service tools for employees and managers;
  • Align systems with international compliance and operational needs;
  • Establish strong data governance for HR data integrity and security;
  • Build dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decisions;
  • Work closely with HRBPs, Policy & Rewards, and L&D to operationalize strategy;
  • Advise senior leadership (CHRO, Manager Policy & Rewards) on operations and improvements.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Available for 6-9 months;
  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations, process improvement, or HR systems management within a fast-paced, international environment;
  • Proven track record of leading teams and driving operational excellence;
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems. Experience in Personio and AFAS is preferred;
  • Expertise in process mapping, automation, and implementing self-service solutions;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
